ITAM Analyst III – Software Asset Management (SAM/HAM Hybrid)
J-00017W2HybridReston, VAYou will work as a senior IT asset management analyst on a 9-month contract, with possible extension, based hybrid on-site in Reston, VA. The role covers both software and hardware asset management, including entitlement tracking, renewals, compliance and CMDB alignment, using Flexera. It suits an experienced ITAM practitioner who wants hands-on ownership of license position and asset data accuracy.
What you will do
- Manage software asset management activities, including license entitlement records and effective license position reporting
- Administer and work within Flexera to track discovery, normalization and license consumption data
- Support hardware asset management across the asset lifecycle, from receipt through disposal
- Track and coordinate software renewals and maintenance agreements against contract and entitlement terms
- Perform compliance reviews and prepare documentation to support audits and internal reporting
- Align asset records with the CMDB and resolve discrepancies between discovered and recorded data
What you need
- 5+ years of experience in software asset management
- Hands-on experience with Flexera
- Experience with hardware asset management
- Experience with software entitlement management and renewals
- Experience with license compliance activities
- Experience with CMDB alignment and asset data reconciliation
- Able to work hybrid on-site in Reston, VA
- Able to work without sponsorship now or in the future
- Able to work on a W2 basis
Compensation
This is a W2 contract engagement. Compensation is the hourly rate stated above, plus any overtime required by law. No health, dental, vision, retirement or paid leave benefits are offered at this time, beyond what applicable law requires.
