• Lead IT Asset Management Business Process Consultant (SAM Pro)

  You will lead the business process side of a Software Asset Management program, facilitating SAM Pro workshops, demonstrating solutions and advising stakeholders on how software is requested, purchased, allocated and reclaimed. This is a part-time remote contract engagement of roughly 16 hours per week (more during workshop weeks), running from August 23, 2026 through February 7, 2027 for a total of 352 hours. It suits a consultant who wants lead-level advisory work without a full-time commitment.

  What you will do

  • Facilitate SAM Pro workshops, demo solutions and provide ongoing advisory support to stakeholders
  • Guide the business process side of Software Asset Management, including software request, procurement, allocation, reclamation and entitlement management
  • Work with software purchasing data, publisher reconciliation (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Citrix, IBM, VMware) and license compliance
  • Define the SAM operating model, process ownership and stakeholder responsibilities
  • Guide requirements for software models, entitlements, contracts, catalog items, request workflows, dashboards and reporting
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and backlog items, and groom the backlog
  • Identify and raise process risks

  What you need

  • Lead-level experience as an ITAM business process consultant
  • Deep hands-on expertise with SAM Pro
  • Experience defining SAM operating models, process ownership and stakeholder responsibilities
  • Experience with publisher reconciliation and license compliance across major publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Citrix, IBM and VMware
  • Ability to write user stories and manage a backlog from business requirements
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
  • Software Asset Management (SAM) certification
  • Located on US or Canada soil for the duration of the engagement
  • Strong English written and verbal communication

  Compensation

  This is a W2 contract engagement. Compensation is the hourly rate stated above, plus any overtime required by law. No health, dental, vision, retirement or paid leave benefits are offered at this time, beyond what applicable law requires.
