Lead ServiceNow Technical Consultant - Platform and Hardware Asset Management
J-00015ContractRemoteLocated on US or Canada Soil$90/hrYou will serve as a lead technical consultant on a remote, part-time contract engagement building automation and integrations on the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on Flow Designer, scripting, IntegrationHub and hardware asset management. The engagement runs from 09/28/2026 to 12/19/2026, roughly 16 hours per week for about 190 total hours, and you will work directly with the customer as well as internal teams. Compensation: this is a W2 contract engagement. Compensation is the hourly rate stated above, plus any overtime required by law. No health, dental, vision, retirement or paid leave benefits are offered at this time, beyond what applicable law requires.
What you will do
- Design and build flows, subflows and custom flow actions in Flow Designer, including script steps with well-defined inputs, outputs and error handling.
- Develop and maintain reusable script includes (global and scoped), including client-callable script includes, with clear function contracts and robust null and error handling.
- Implement form behavior using UI policies and client scripts (onLoad, onChange, onSubmit, onCellEdit).
- Build and configure integrations using IntegrationHub spokes, REST steps and custom actions, and configure scheduled flows and jobs that are monitored and recoverable on failure.
- Set up data sources including SFTP-based file retrieval (CSV/Excel), import set tables and transform maps with field maps, coalesce logic and transform scripts.
- Deliver platform customizations such as tables, fields, business rules, catalog items and variables while keeping instances upgrade-safe.
- Write unit tests and ATF test cases, add meaningful logging, and debug using flow execution details, system logs and the script debugger.
- Manage update sets and application repositories, take part in peer code reviews, support promotion across Dev, Test and Production, support UAT and defect resolution, and join sprint ceremonies.
What you need
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications.
- Lead-level technical consulting experience with ServiceNow Platform, plus hands-on experience with ITAM and Hardware Asset Management.
- Expertise in Flow Designer: flows, subflows, custom actions, script steps, flow logic and error handling.
- Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow API skills (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideDateTime, g_form), script includes, UI policies and client scripts.
- IntegrationHub experience: spokes, REST/SOAP steps, connection and credential aliases, and MID Server basics.
- Experience with data sources, import sets and transform maps (including SFTP data source configuration), decision tables, ATF and platform customization.
- Strong understanding of the full Service Catalog and Request Fulfillment lifecycle, HAM processes, stock management and procurement workflows.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party procurement applications.
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships with customers, provide technical updates and drive clarity; attendance at customer and internal meetings with camera on is mandatory.
- Located on US or Canada soil, able to deliver on quick turnarounds and work across distributed teams and time zones.

- Coupa procurement integration experience.
Compensation
$90 per hour
