Technical Solution Architect
J-00047Full-timeOn-siteRosemead, CA$145,000 to $185,000 per year (estimated)You will design and deliver enterprise observability and IT service management solutions on site in Rosemead, CA, working across Dynatrace, BMC Helix and Flexera. The role suits an architect with 10 to 20 years of experience who wants ownership of end to end design, migration and governance work. You will work directly with service owners, developers and operations teams to turn business requirements into scalable technical designs.
What you will do
- Design monitoring and observability strategies using Dynatrace, including dashboards, synthetic monitoring, APM, infrastructure monitoring and Davis AI insights.
- Architect end to end solutions using BMC Helix Operation Management and the Helix ITSM Suite, covering Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Service Request and CMDB.
- Develop integration architecture between Helix, Dynatrace, Flexera and external systems using APIs, web services and event frameworks.
- Roll out Dynatrace agents, tagging strategies, baselines, alerts and distributed tracing, and manage on-prem to SaaS migrations for Helix Operation Management or Dynatrace Cloud.
- Lead deployment, configuration and customization of BMC Helix modules, and implement service mapping and discovery with BMC Helix Discovery.
- Lead CMDB governance initiatives covering accuracy, reconciliation rules and data quality, and define monitoring standards, tagging frameworks and observability KPIs.
- Provide Level 3 architectural support for complex ITSM and monitoring issues, and oversee patching, upgrades and maintenance of the BMC, Dynatrace and Flexera platforms.
- Present solution blueprints, technical roadmaps and operational guidelines, and conduct architecture reviews with best practice recommendations.
What you need
- 10 to 20 years of relevant technical experience.
- Hands-on architecture and implementation experience with Dynatrace, including APM, synthetic and infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience with BMC Helix Operation Management, the Helix ITSM Suite and BMC Helix Discovery.
- Working knowledge of Flexera and Software Asset Management, including license optimization.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v4 principles and ITSM process design.
- Knowledge of ITOM, AIOps, observability frameworks and CMDB best practices.
- Experience building integrations using APIs, web services and event frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and documentation abilities, with the ability to lead cross functional technical teams and drive solution adoption.
Nice to have
- TOGAF certification or equivalent framework experience.
- Experience leading discovery and service mapping initiatives at enterprise scale.
Compensation
$145,000 to $185,000 per year
This is a W2 contract engagement. Compensation is the hourly rate stated above, plus any overtime required by law. No health, dental, vision, retirement or paid leave benefits are offered at this time, beyond what applicable law requires.
